Information Office of State Council held a press conference today, the General Administration of Customs spokesman Huang Songping introduced the first half of 2017 import and export situation.

He pointed out that the import and export scale as well as the structural optimization, quality and efficiency of the first half year of China all have improved.

 

The trade structure is still being optimized and improved.

First, the trade way is more reasonable, the general trade import and export have a significant growth in this year. Second, the import and export market become more diversified. In the first half of the year, all kinds of products in China not only import and export to traditional markets such as Europe, America and Japan, but also to the countries like Russia, Pakistan, Poland and Bangladesh. Third, the endogenous power is more powerful. Private enterprises import and export has increased significantly.

About export, the seven categories of traditional labor-intensive exports like textile and garment industry have increased by 12.9% which means the traditional industry still maintain a good competitive advantage. At the same time, with the deepening of supply-side structural reform and the implementation of series of tax reduction policy, the independent innovation capability of enterprises have gradually increased, the support of the economy of high-end manufacturing industry also have been improved as well as the exports of the high value-added mechanical and electrical products and equipment manufacturing products are also maintained a good momentum.

This shows that China's foreign trade prospect is good.
