China exports 23.94 million tons of fertilizer and imports 9.5 million tons for the whole year of 2018

Preliminary statistics from China customs show that China exports 2,106,000 tons of various mineral fertilizers and fertilizers (excluding ammonium chloride, potassium nitrate and animal and plant organic fertilizers, the same below) in December 2018, up 85.0% year-on-year. Exports totaled US $586 million, up 147.2 percent year-on-year.

From January to December, China exports a total of 23.935 million tons of various mineral fertilizers and fertilizers, down 0.40% year-on-year. Cumulative exports totaled US $6.999 billion, up 16.3 percent year-on-year.

In terms of fertilizer import, December 2018, China imports 1.13 million tons of various minerals and chemical fertilizers, with an import amount of 352 million US dollars. China imports mainly potassium chloride, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ternary compound fertilizers.

From January to December, China imports 9.05 million tons of various minerals and chemical fertilizers, up 4.9% year-on-year. The cumulative amount of imports is US $2.719 billion, up 17.8 percent year-on-year.
