1.What is the definition of fertilizer?
Whatever applied in the soil or spraying on the crops, which can supply nutrient directly or indirectly and increase the crop’s yield and improve the quality soil properties, we call these as fertilizer. The fertilizer which can directly feed the crops called direct fertilizer, such as nitrogen, phosphate,potash, micronutrients, and compound fertilizers. While others mainly to improve soil’s physical properities, chemical properities and biologcal properities, thereby improving crop growth conditions as indirect fertilizer, such as lime ,gypsum and bacteria fertilizer.

By chemical: organic fertilizer, inorganic fertilizer and organic inorganic fertlizer.
By nutrient: simple fertilizer, mixed(combined)fertilizer(multi-nutrient fertilizer).
By effect: quick-effect fertilizer, slow-effect fertilizer.
By physical: solid fertilizer, liquid fertilizer and gas fertilizer.
By chemical: alkaline fertilizer, acid fertilizer and neutral fertilizer.
3.What is the definition of chemical fertilizer?
In the narrow sense, chemical fertilizers are fertilizers produced by chemical methods. In the broad sense, chemical fertilizer refers to all inorganic fertilizer and slow – effect fertilizer. So some people only call nitrogen fertilizer is not comprehensive, fertilizer is the general name of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, compound fertilizer .
