The Soil of Flowers
Soil is the basis of raising flowers. If you want to raise flowers, you firstly need to raise soil. Whether the potted pots is good or not has a direct relationship with the soil condition in a limited environment. Generally, 
the soil used for potting is required to contain a large amount of humus, the soil should be loose, fertile, waterlogging and good performance. At the same time, the soil should have certain ratio of PH. The requirement of soil for different types of flowers are different because of the different soil texture of the origin. In practice, you should adapt to the different needs of the soil, and maintain the pH, according to the different habits of various types of flowers or different stages of flower growth and development.
All kinds of soil solution contain hydrogen cations and hydroxide anions as well as we can adjust the soil PH according to the amount of hydrogen ion. The smaller the pH, the stronger the acidity. PH is divided into four boundaries: PH7 is neutral, PH4.5 and the following PH is strong acidity, pH9.5 or above is strong alkaline. The PH of most flowers is PH5.5-7.0, that is, these flowers with neutral and a little acidic soil will grow and develop well. The reason is that the nutrients in the soil required for the plant are in an absorbable state, if the PH above or below this limit, some of the nutrient elements will become nonabsorbable so that some floral will lack of nutrient. For example, the North Flower North camellia, azaleas, coconut flowers, they are suit for the soil with the PH of 4.5-8. In the north, the soil often is alkaline and the iron element of soil is in a non-absorbable state so that have a bad influence on floral growth. On the other hand, strong acid or strong alkaline soil also will hinder the growth of flowers.
Northern soil to improve the pH. For open field flowers, you should apply 30kg sulfur powder per mu which can decrease the PH from 8.0 to 6.5, even though the effect is slow.
In addition, we can also apply large number of organic fertilizer because it can not only change the soil PH, but also dissolve the iron elements in the soil. North pots can be mixed with 1% sulfur powder in the soil before the first half year. In the cultivation process, you can observe the growth of plants and may appropriately pour ferrous sulfate aqueous solution because it has fast effect to improve soil PH. The fertilization effect is obvious if you irrigate the solution with grass (Gramineae) soaked in water and dilute. Before the flowers were planted on the basin, you should deploy the cultivated soil appropriately according to different requirement of different types of flowers.
